For as long as I can remember, I’ve been an ageplayer. When I was four years old, I secretly wore diapers in my bedroom closet, and grew up yearning for the comfort and security of my footed jammies. When I hit puberty, I was haunted by feelings of self-doubt and confusion. I wasn’t really sure of anything–except that I was weird.
Not long after my family purchased our first computer in 1996, I discovered a strange and fascinating online community of diaper lovers and ageplayers. Since then, I’ve grown to accept myself–but I still read countless blog entries by folks who are petrified that they’re a bit too strange for society to handle. Many of us still live in fear that our loved ones may judge and shame us for having kinky sexual needs. As the internet continues to grow, the media spotlight will occasionally shift to our world.
Unfortunately, if one of our loved ones–let’s say your husband or wife–were to actually search Google for “diaper fetish” or “ABDL”, they might be shocked by what they find. This is because the majority of sites that show up on that first page of Google results were not intended to help the searcher to understand ageplay. They’ll undoubtedly find *that one website* with the stories of young boys in tighty-whities, *that social space* full of scat and cum pictures, and a whole bunch of really bad amateur porn. Few and far between are the articles that declare diapered women to be sexy goddesses. Few and far between are the articles that explore the rewarding bonds formed between lovers through ageplay.
